CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:25 PM at the College of Nanosciences Engineering, University at Albany by our host, Treasurer Kathy Dunn. The meeting was held following a buffet dinner. The participants were welcomed and the meeting agenda was presented. 35 participants were in attendance. Although all officers were present, in the interest of brevity Dunn gave all the reports.
VICE-PRESIDENT'S REPORT
Our three previous meetings in 2006 were: a talk on 3-D microscopy by Mike Marko of Wadsworth Labs, held at SuperPower on May 10; a talk by Fran Adar of Horiba Jovin Yvon on Raman microscopy, held at SuperPower on September 14; and the November 14 meeting with TMS at RPI including a dinner, a poster session, and a talk by John Delano on Volcanic glasses.
TREASURER'S REPORT
The current corporate sponsors, Bruker, GE, JEOL, Oxford Instruments, Physical Electronics, SEMTech solutions, and Thermo, were thanked. An effort will be made to increase and retain corporate sponsorship, and suggestions for enhancing corporate benefits were solicited.

SECRETARY'S REPORT
There were 41 paid-up members (including corporate representatives) at the end of 2006. There are 107 names on the e-mailing list and listed on the website. The website list includes affiliation, professional interests, and membership in national societies. Updates on listed information were solicited.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
The meeting was turned over to Nominating Committee Chairman Jim McGee. There was only one nominee for each position.

McGee announced that MAS plans to organize it's first stand-alone-sponsored workshop in April 2008 at the Albany NanoTech site. As an MAS-affiliated Society, CDMMS will be the host, and he invited our members to participate in the content and orgainzation of the workshop. The topic will be characterization of materials by three-dimensional analytical and microscopy techniques.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the business meeting was adjourned at 8:05 PM, and the participants toured the Albany NanoTech facilities.
