First meeting and tour of Albany Nanotech
6:00 to 7:30 PM, February 7, 2002
All those interested in
microscopy and microanalysis are invited!
At this first meeting, we will
get to know each other, consider the ways in which we can benefit from forming
a Society, and plan for the next meeting at which election of officers will
take place.
Light refreshments will be served

If
more than one person from your institution plans to attend, a single reply with
a list of people is preferred. Please
include a brief description of the interests of your facility, with a list of
analytical instrumentation. This
information will be assembled into a handout to be distributed at the
meeting. You are also invited to bring
a poster describing your facility.

Albany Nanotech is a part of the
University at Albany - SUNY, and includes the Center for Advanced Thin Film
Techonology (www.albany.edu/cat).
The Center's mission is to act as a research, development, education and
economic outreach resource for the semiconductor and nanotechnology communities.
Its characterization and analysis facilities house a wide variety of
microanalytical equipment, including high resolution electron and ion
microscopes, atomic force and ultrasonic force microscopes, TOF-SIMS, XPS, AES
and more.
Albany Nanotech is located at CESTM, a
futuristic building at the junction of Fuller Rd. and Washington Ave. extension
